Skateboarding at 1000fps

Okay does anyone actually know what fps stands for? No? Maybe, but you just can't think of it right now? Well it stands for 'frames per second' and when you shoot video at 1000 frames per second and play it back at [roughly] 30 frames per second, you get, SUPER SLOW MO!

The video below is a collection of skateboarding tricks gone wrong at, you guessed it, 1000 frames per second. It's pretty cool to watch actually, seeing the shockwaves of impact travel up the arms and stuff, and I'm shocked there's no slow-mo footage of ankles being rolled. Either way, it's a pretty cool little video, and as a former skateboarder myself, I know the pain these types of falls can inflict. Everything is always better in super slow motion. Enjoy!

The split hurt me just watching! I'm surprised that there weren't any bones poking through some of those wrists either!

I don't like the look of those landings on the side of the board - I see broken ankles in their futures. Makes it look to painful. but, now I know what you're talking about with fps - and you now have a camera that does it!!
