The Colonel Arrives!

Ladies and Gentlemen, it is my GREAT pleasure to formally introduce you 'The Colonel'. He's a 2009 Hemi Orange Dodge Challenger R/T Classic. [And quite possibly the very last Hemi Orange Challenger....more on that later.] I got the call from the dealer yesterday around 3:00pm saying the car had just arrived. He said if I wanted to pick it up that evening I could...."HELL YEA I WANT TO GET IT TODAY!" was my response. He said cool, swing by anytime after 5:00 and it should be about ready. I immediately began jumping up and down on the couch.

5:01pm - Rolled into the dealership, and they immediately handed me the window sticker which they yanked out right away to make sure it didn't get stuck onto the window. On the top of it, it has my name as well, mentioning the car was built specifically for me. Pretty cool. I brought it into work today to laminate it, and save it foreverrrrr.

7:01pm - Finally left the dealer [pics below] and headed home so we could drop off Chris's car, and headed to dinner.

8:45pm - Leave dinner, heading to the parents house. We called my mom when we were about to turn into the neighborhood and she was anxiously waiting on the front steps. Came around the corner AC/DC blasting and me rrevving the engine. My mom went nuts and exclaimed "IT'S ORANGE!!" Even at night, the Hemi Orange color really pops.

9:45pm - Left parents and headed to another friends house so he could see it.

12:00am - Got home, and put on the hood struts and locking gas cap. [Never too early to start putting on all my goodies!] We'll probably get the skip shift eliminator [can't wait for this one, cause I experienced the stupid 1-4 skip shift a few times driving last night], and the cold air intake.

1:00am - Crawled into bed.

1:15 - 2:30am - Can't sleep. Still in shock that I finally got my car. 175 days of waiting and I finally got it.

As painful, and stressful as the waiting was, it was so worth it. The car is an absolute beast, and I can't wait to get through the break in milage to really open it up. Right now it's so hard to keep it to 60mph or under.....really hard. Okay, enough yapping for the moment, on with the pics!! Enjoy everyone!!

I haven't stopped smiling yet....
