I'm wearing a clothing combination today at work that I don't think I've ever worn before. I realized I was wearing a checkered/plaid whatever you want to call it shirt, with striped pants. I also realized that I do not know if this is a fashion no-no or not. Help me, for I am generally clueless. Is this acceptable, or something I should avoid in the future?

Definitely hard to judge. In black and white it looks almost like you're wearing a checkered shirt and solid pants...
I'm going to vote yes! But I have no fashion sense (ask Chris!)
I see your point, but I voted "yes' because the pin stripe is so fine, it's not obvious. I like those pants!
