Here's the 6th video from the Put This On video and fashion series. I'm a little late getting this one up, but better late than never! Episode 6 deals with wearing the proper fitting clothing for your personal body type. In the first interview they do with a custom shirt maker, he points out that almost every single dress shirt on a man has an arm hole that is far too low, thus giving your sleeve a much baggier look than it should be. This is true, because I just checked mine on the 'slim fit' shirt that I'm currently wearing, and yea, the arm hole is way too low. Interesting. Anyway, another great video from Put This On, and one that every guy needs to watch. Enjoy!

The 5th episode in the PTO video series is here! And it's allll about tradition. Some more really interesting discussions about traditional Americana menswear in this one. Personally, the first segment I found far more useful than the latter. Either way, enjoy!

How To: Ordering Pants Like A Man

"It's like riding a wire fence"

The following audio clip is from a phone from President Lyndon B. Johnson made in 1964 to the Haggar clothing company. [The accompanying animation was done by Poly Morph Productions] It appears as though the former President needed some new pants and had some very specific needs concerning their fit. I think my favorite part was when the gentleman on the other end of the phone asked where he wanted them sent and LBJ's response was simply "the White House." There are a couple other good lines in there as well, so I definitley encourage listening to the whole conversation.

Here's the long awaited third and final installment [at least thus far] of the 'Put This On' web series. In this episode they take a look at wearing proper clothes to work, something we all probably have to worry about whether we like it or not! I found this one quite interesting as well. In the second installment of the web series 'Put This On', they take a look at shoes and craft shoe makers. I really enjoyed listening to the shoe maker talk about all the shoes and construction of them and whatnot, his passion really shows well in this video. Enjoy!

Today I discovered a new website called 'Put This On' -- it's mostly about how to dress properly and like an adult [something I admittedly struggle with from time to time.] Not that not dressing like an adult is entirely bad, there's just a time and place for everything and every wardrobe. Anyways, it's a real good site and they have also produced a few small web clips about various topics. I figured I'll stretch this topic out for all it's worth, so you only get the first installment today. Episode 1: Denim. Enjoy [taking notes!]

Fashion Faux Pas?

I'm wearing a clothing combination today at work that I don't think I've ever worn before. I realized I was wearing a checkered/plaid whatever you want to call it shirt, with striped pants. I also realized that I do not know if this is a fashion no-no or not. Help me, for I am generally clueless. Is this acceptable, or something I should avoid in the future?
